Who is eligible to participate in the competition?

Participants must be actively enrolled in a university at the time of the qualifier in February 2026, be 18 years of age or older, and register using their official university email before the deadline.
Students who graduate after February 2026 but before the final round remain eligible.
Please note that participants from comprehensively sanctioned regions may face restrictions due to applicable international compliance and security regulations.

What are the key differences between the qualifier and the final event?

The qualifier is an individual, online round where each participant competes independently from their own location.
The final event is a team-based, in-person competition held at Bali, from 10–14 August 2026, with teams of five participants assigned by the organizers.

How will the teams be formed for the finals?

Teams for the final round will be assigned by the organizers to ensure a balanced mix of skills, backgrounds, and experience. Each team will consist of five participants selected from the qualifier, and a team leader will be designated by the committee.
Participants cannot choose their teammates, as the finals are designed to encourage collaboration among individuals with diverse expertise.

Can I register using a non-university email address?

No. All participants are required to register using their official university email address. This same email must be used throughout the competition, including for all communications and for accessing the competition platform during both the qualifiers and the finals.

Can I transfer my registration to someone else if I can’t participate?

No. Registrations are strictly non-transferable. Only the individual who originally registered—and who meets all eligibility requirements—may take part in the competition.

What should I bring to the in-person finals?

Participants are required to bring their own laptops and any essential peripherals, such as chargers, adapters, and other equipment they need for competition. Reliable internet access and power outlets will be provided at the venue.
Participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel to the event location, while accommodation and meals during the finals will be provided by the organizers.

What happens if I violate the ethics or rules during the competition?

Any violation of the competition’s ethics or rules—such as cheating, collusion, attempting unauthorized attacks, or disrupting other participants—will result in serious consequences. These may include point deductions, immediate disqualification, and formal notification to your university.
The organizers reserve full authority to take any additional actions necessary to protect the fairness and integrity of the event.

Will there be any support during the competition?

Yes. During the qualifier, participants will have access to a virtual helpdesk through Discord for technical and administrative assistance.
During the in-person finals, an on-site support team will be available to help with technical issues, logistics, and any immediate needs throughout the event.

Are there any costs involved in participating?

For the qualifier, participants are responsible for their own expenses, including internet access and personal equipment.
For the finals, participants must cover their own travel costs unless stated otherwise by the organizers. Accommodation and meals during the in-person finals will be provided.

Can the rules change during the competition?

Yes. Competition rules and policies may be updated as needed. Participants will be notified promptly of any changes and will receive reminders about important rules at each stage of the event.
